Thanos Hotels & Resorts are seeking to recruit a Head Receptionist for Almyra Hotel.

Duties & Responsibilities

 
  • To lead front office employees responsible for the morning and afternoon shifts.
  • Ensures that excellent customer service is offered to all guests at all times.
  • Co-ordinates the implementation of the activities in the reception.
  • Assists in keeping the Hotel reception area clean and tidy at all times.
  • Deals, in person, with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner on the telephone or via e-mail communication.
  • Administers all reservations, cancellations and no-shows, in line with the company’s policies.
  • Reports any maintenance issues immediately and ensures a proper follow up.
  • Assigns activities by giving proper and clear instructions.
  • Ensures the progress and the quality implementation of the activities.
  • Monitors and corrects performance of Receptionists to ensure that guests receive a fast, efficient and friendly welcome and farewell.
  • Co-ordinates special requests, problems with other departments.
  • Handles questions/complaints from guests and takes necessary corrective action always in consultation with supervisors.
  • Maintains knowledge of the hotel’s features, amenities, services and all hotel’s departments.
  • Assist with the on-job skills training to maintain and improve the service provided
  • Ensures a high level of liaison between front office and all other departments within the hotel.
  • Ensures a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and the local area.
  • Contributes to the maximization of room sales and revenues for the Hotel by ensuring that a sales attitude is adopted at all times and an awareness of all sales opportunities within the hotel are maintained.
  • Ensures that Front Office Manager is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from our customers or other departments.
  • Takes responsibility in the absence of Front Office Manager.
  • Makes sure that employees follow Health and Safety guidelines as well as any Policies and Procedures put forward by the Head of Department.
  • Ensures that Front Office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to at all times by Reception staff.
  • Undertakes any other duties as and when assigned by Front Office Manager or Management.
  • Adhere to Hotel’s standards, policies and procedures and to have a complete understanding of the policies; including Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety
  • Ensure that duties are carried in an honest and ethical way by abiding the Hotels’ rules  and regulations and the Cyprus Law
  • Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the Front Office Manager


Requirements:
 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in same or similar position
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek & English Language
  • Knowledge of any other language will be considered an advantage.
