Thanos Hotels & Resorts is seeking to recruit a Linen Keeper for the Anassa Hotel.

Job Role
 

Responsible to provide clean and well laundered linen and uniforms according to the Hotel’s policies and procedures


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintains a clean and tidy linen room
  • Maintains cleanliness of laundry area and equipment
  • Counts, stores and issues clean linen and uniforms. Receives and sorts out dirty linen
  • Reports any linen shortage to the Executive Housekeeper
  • Delivers clean linen to room attendants
  • Receives, sorts and double checks conditions of all linen and uniforms, records all outgoing and incoming from the laundry thoroughly before storing and issuing
  • Sends and receives daily linen deliveries
  • Examines laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability
  • Ensures that linen and uniforms are neatly and systematically arranged and stacked
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments within the hotel
  • To ensure that the company dress code is adhered to at all times
  • To repair items of guest clothes, hotel linen and staff uniforms
  • To issue new personnel with appropriate uniform and keep the proper records
  • To maintain and update books in the linen room
  • To operate washing/dryers as per given instructions
  • To deal with guests’ requests as promptly as possible
  • Flexible to work outside the normal daily/weekly hours and routine to cope with work overload.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with the established hotel’s policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
  • Undertakes any other duties as and when assigned by the Executive Housekeeper


Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar position at a 5* Hotel
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or hospitality related qualification, will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of English.  Knowledge of Greek or any other language will be considered as an advantage
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure
  • Computer Literate
