Thanos Hotels & Resorts are currently seeking to recruit a Pastry Chef De Partie for Anassa Hotel.



Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To ensure that culinary standards in all outlets of the Food and Beverage department are met at all times as determined by the F&B standards and policies of Thanos Hotels
  • Ensure that the hotel maintains the best possible reputation for its culinary products
  • Maintain the recipe library and plate specifications showed by the Executive Chef
  • Have knowledge of the actual food cost
  • To achieve daily tasks required by the operation and guidelines given by the Executive Chef
  • To guide, motivate, train and manage cooks A’, B’ and C’, trainees and stewarding staff in order to exceed guest expectations
  • Comply with all Health and Safety rules and regulations
  • Follow the Grooming Policy, maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and ensure that this is followed and adhered by all team members
  • Ensure that duties are carried in an honest and ethical way by abiding the Hotels’ rules and regulations and the Cyprus Law
  • Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the Executive Chef
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar position at a 5* Hotel
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or hospitality related qualification, will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of English.  Knowledge of Greek or any other language will be considered as an advantage
  • Pleasant, honest and friendly personality
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure
  • Computer Literate
  • To be quality driven and critical of all aspects of the food and beverage operation in order to guarantee the highest level of creativity and productivity within the organization
  • Must be a caring personality that shows empathy and understanding
  • Commitment to learning & self-development
  • Promotes cooperation & commitment within a team
  • Inspiring and motivating others while being caring and understanding
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in handling staff relations and/or guest complaints
  • Due to work permit restrictions, candidates must have the right to work in Cyprus
