Thanos Hotels & Resorts is seeking to recruit a Security for the Anassa Hotel.

Job Role
To provide protection & safeguard to the hotel, their guests and employees from personal injuries and from loss or damage of property, through close liaison with Health & Safety Manager and Hotel Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Patrol the Hotel’s premises frequently during shifts to ensure the safety and protection of guests, employees and hotels’ property
Liaise with Health & Safety Manager and Hotel Manager. to promote the safe and efficient operation of the hotel and its premises
Provide recommendations with regards to security/fire/safety equipment
Patrol the Hotel’s premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion
Ensure that doors, windows, gates, sideways, fridges and stores are locked during the night
Answer Alarms and investigate any disturbances
Log security incidents and any peculiarities during his shift and report them to the Health & Safety Manager
Report all irregularities, hazardous conditions & suspicious occurrences
Monitor all activities in public areas to ensure adequate security coverage is maintained.
Keep any unauthorized people out of the hotel’s premises
Be able to defuse potentially violent situations and keep potentially dangerous situations under control
Be proactive and able to identify irritated customers and contact the police if someone becomes violent
Maintain contact with emergency services, local authorities and police department and should not hesitate to request their assistance as and when required.
Adhere to Hotel’s standards, policies and procedures and to have a complete understanding of the policies; including Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety
Ensure that duties are carried in an honest and ethical way by abiding the Hotels’ rules and regulations and the Cyprus Law

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position at a 5* Hotel
Must be a certified Security
Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of Greek or any other language will be considered as an advantage
Pleasant, honest and friendly personality
Ability to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure
