Thanos Hotels & Resorts is seeking to recruit a Telephone Operator for the Anassa Hotel.

Job Role

Operating the telephone call center / Switchboard for all incoming and outgoing lines for internal or external use and any other relevant duties in a smooth, pleasant, efficient and professional manner.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Answers incoming calls and greets callers in the defined manner
  • Transfers calls to guest rooms, company officials or departments
  • Places outgoing calls
  • Gives customers assistance by answering their inquiries and other concerns
  • Keeps track of in-house guest details with respect to putting through telephone calls
  • Understands the telephone switchboard operations
  • Takes and passes on telephone messages to guests or company officials promptly and efficiently
  • Logs all wake-up call requests and performs wake-up call services
  • Be aware of daily and future events for the hotel, restaurant, and special events
  • Assists in reporting telephone equipment or service complaints and problems
  • Updates Hotel’s internal telephone directory
  • Receives and sends faxes for guests or company officials and ensure that the reports are delivered to the correct person
  • To be fully aware of and adhere to health and safety, fire rules and procedures
  • In the event of emergencies to arrange the calling up of the proper authorities and officials
  • Knows what action to take when an emergency call is required
  • Identifies and reports technical problems to the relevant Department. Follows up that these have been rectified.
  • Prepares Guests’ Welcome and Departure Letters (email)
  • Updates the in house report on a daily basis
  • Keeps a polite and courteous and warmly manner when answering the phone
  • Follows hotel’s grooming and personal hygiene standards
  • Carries any other duties as and when assigned by Supervisors and Front Office Manager
 
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek & English Language
  • Knowledge of any other language will be considered an advantage.
