Thanos Hotels & Resorts is seeking to recruit a Security for the Annabelle Hotel.

Job Role
To provide protection & safeguard to the hotel, their guests and employees from personal injuries and from loss or damage of property, through close liaison with HODs and Hotel Management.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Patrol the Hotel’s premises frequently during shifts to ensure the safety and protection of guests, employees and hotels’ property
• Liaise with HOD’s to promote the safe and efficient operation of the hotel and its premises.
• Provide recommendations with regards to security/fire/safety equipment.
• Patrol the Hotel’s premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
• Ensure that doors, windows, gates, sideways, fridges and stores are locked during the night.
• Answer Alarms and investigate any disturbances
• Ensure that Fire Exits are free of obstacles
• Log security incidents and any peculiarities during his shift and report them to the Hotel Management
• Report all irregularities, hazardous conditions & suspicious occurrences
• Monitor all activities in public areas to ensure adequate security coverage is maintained.
• Keep any unauthorized people out of the hotel’s premises
• Be able to defuse potentially violent situations and keep potentially dangerous situations under control
• Pursue the prosecution of any persons detected committing felonious acts against the hotel, guests, visitors, employees or management.
• Be proactive and able to identify irritated customers and contact the police if someone becomes violent
• Must skillfully maintain emotional & physical control whilst conducting interrogations or restraining violators.
• Maintain contact with emergency services, local authorities and police department and should not hesitate to request their assistance as and when required.
• Administer First Aid and CPR to guests and employees when needed
• Demonstrate professional attitude and set an example by his conduct and behavior at all times
• Adhere to Hotel’s standards, policies and procedures and to have a complete understanding of the policies; including Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety
• Ensure that duties are carried in an honest and ethical way by abiding the Hotels’  rules and regulations and the Cyprus Law

 
Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position at a 5* Hotel
• Must be a certified Security  
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be physically fit and have the endurance to run and respond to emergencies in any part of the hotel’s premises.
• Excellent knowledge of English.  Knowledge of Greek or any other language will be considered as an advantage
• Pleasant, honest and friendly personality
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure
• To be quality driven and critical of all aspects of the food and beverage operation in order to guarantee the highest level of creativity and productivity within the organization
• Excellent interpersonal skills in handling guest complaints
