Thanos Hotels & Resorts are currently seeking to recruit a Laundry Driver.

Job role

The Laundry Truck Driver is responsible for all standards and procedures connected with the hotel’s Laundry vehicle

Responsibilities
  • Transport laundry to/from assigned destinations using property vehicle
  • Perform Laundry Attendant duties when there are no scheduled pick up/drop off trips
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of all laundry equipment and how to use it
  • Document all trips prior to the start of and at the conclusion of each trip
  • Park vehicle in designated location when not in use
  • Inspect property vehicle for damage and cleanliness
  • Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle and refuel as necessary
  • Document all vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager/supervisor
  • Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, and implement new ways to increase organizational quality
  • Establish, promote and maintain good public relations and enhance sales for the hotel at every opportunity
  • Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Driver
  • A valid driver’s license
  • A clean driving record
  • Familiarity with GPS devices
  • Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
  • Ability to lift heavy packages
  • Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
  • A polite and professional disposition
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
  • Commitment to learning & self-development
  • Promotes cooperation & commitment within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in handling staff relations and/or guest complaints
  • Due to work permit restrictions, candidates must have the right to work in Cyprus
