Thanos Hotels & Resorts is seeking to recruit a Purchasing Officer. 
 

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support the Purchasing Manager in handling all procurement-related activities across the Group’s hotel properties.
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting suppliers in accordance with the company’s procurement procedures.
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with suppliers, evaluating their performance, and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Request quotations to ensure best value for money and compliance with quality standards.
  • Staying informed about market trends, new products, and alternative suppliers to optimize purchasing strategies.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding product availability, lead times, and pricing.
  • Analyzing costs and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Process and monitor purchase orders for supplies and equipment for the hotels.
  • Enter and manage purchase orders in the company’s system.
  • Follow up on deliveries to ensure they meet agreed specifications, timelines, and conditions.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse, receiving, and accounting teams to resolve any delivery or invoicing discrepancies.
  • Help maintain supplier databases and support in the preparation of reports and procurement documentation.
  • Monitoring stock levels to avoid overstocking or shortages and coordinating with inventory teams.
  • Assist in contract renewals and monitoring supplier performance.
 
Requirements
  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement-related role, ideally within the hospitality or food & beverage sector.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in both Greek and English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
