is seeking to recruit a motivated
Software Engineer (Junior to Mid-Level)
to join our in-house technology team and play a key role in helping a leading hospitality group modernize and evolve through technology. The role involves supporting the development, maintenance and integration of the Group’s internal systems and websites. This position is ideal for a candidate with a solid foundation in full-stack development who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience across multiple systems within a dynamic hospitality and corporate environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development and improvement of in-house systems and websites, including database queries, optimization, and bug fixes.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and participate in code reviews to learn and share best practices.
Help connect and maintain integrations with third-party systems and vendor APIs (Opera Cloud, WebHotelier, NetSuite, Microsoft 365, etc.).
Identify and fix software issues, documenting solutions and sharing feedback with the team.
Collaborate with the Software Engineering Manager to plan and prioritize ongoing development tasks and projects.
Support testing, deployment, and configuration during new system rollouts and updates.
Provide technical assistance and routine maintenance to support team operations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
1–3 years of experience in software or web development (internship or project-based experience welcome).
Comfortable working with VB.NET or C# and ASP.NET WebForms (Razor Pages or Blazor Server are a plus).
Basic understanding of relational databases (SQL Server) and how web applications connect between the front end, logic, and data layers.
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap for front-end development.
Exposure to or interest in working with third-party APIs (e.g. Opera Cloud, WebHotelier, NetSuite, Microsoft 365).
Understanding of general software development practices and use of version control tools (Git, Azure DevOps).
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication abilities.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a collaborative environment.
Additional (Desirable) Skills:
Familiarity with server management and deployment workflows (e.g., using Plesk) within a hosted Windows environment
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools such as the Admin Center or SharePoint Administration.
Exposure to reporting and data tools like Power BI, or experience with data integration workflows.
Interest in AI-assisted development or Azure AI services, such as automation frameworks or document intelligence tools.
Awareness of technical SEO principles (page speed, metadata, structured data) and modern web accessibility standards.
Bonus: understanding of hospitality or ERP systems (Oracle Cloud PMS, NetSuite) or eCommerce platforms like Shopify.
